Our goal is to provide all prospective and continuing students with the information needed to obtain financial assistance for your education here at Xavier University of 路易斯安那州. The cost of a college education requires a major financial expenditure for many families. The most important step in applying for financial aid is completing the Free Application for Federal Student 援助 (FAFSA) each year. 在路易斯安那的e世博esball大学, the FAFSA is the only application required to apply for federal and state aid. The first day you can submit the FAFSA for the new academic year is typically October 1. This date has changed for the 2024-25 academic year; see below. The FAFSA Form for the 2024-25 academic year has been transformed based on the passage of the FAFSA Simplification and FUTURE Acts. Here are the key changes to the FAFSA Form for the 2024-25 academic year:

A contributor is anyone who is required to provide information in support of the student's financial aid application. A contributor is a student, parent, guardian, or spouse.

Financial aid staff will use the SAI to award need-based grants and scholarships.

If you don’t already have an FSA ID, create one now prior to the FAFSA opening in 2023年12月.
- There will be a 1-3 day confirmation period before you can use it.
- The FSA ID can be retrieved if you have forgotten it. 你只能有一个FSA ID.
Have your contributors apply for an FSA ID if they don’t already have one. Each contributor must have their own FSA ID to help complete your FAFSA.

Once completed, you will receive an email confirming you have successfully submitted your FAFSA. You will also receive a FAFSA Submission Summary from the federal processor. The FAFSA Submission Summary provides you with a 学生资助指数 (SAI). The 学生资助办公室 will receive a copy of your completed FAFSA and use the SAI to determine the types of aid you may receive.
